University of Greifswald
The University of Greifswald is a German Forschung Universität and is located in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, in the city of Greifswald. This university was founded in 1456 and is among Europe’s oldest universities based on academic heritage; medical research, natural science research as well as research in the humanities and social sciences are some of the disciplines for which this university has built a great reputation. The university has many international students and offers excellent academic programming opportunities and research training. Located on the peaceful coastline of Baltic Sea, the university is appealing to international students from countries around the world.
The Nepalese community is building a network that is gradually allowing the Nepalese students who are interested in higher education at the university to find like-minded students from Nepal. As a result of the rapid growth of the Nepalese community, it is becoming common for students who are new to Germany to find other Nepalese students who can help them adjust to their academic environment and also provide information related to housing, part-time jobs, and to celebrate with them during cultural festivals that take place in Nepal; thereby providing a supportive environment to students who are studying in Germany.
